He has been away for around one-and-a-half years but he is now back again. This time, however, not as a central defender or captain of the team who wore the PAOK shirt for over 200 matches, but as a new coach. That’s right, Stelios Malezas is back with the club and he has been speaking exclusively to the PAOK TV cameras..
Four chapters, one complete history. The player has now stepped aside, enter the coach. And just as at the beginning of his brilliant playing career when he came as a child from Katerini to the Toumba, so to as a coach, even before he has finished his training, he returns to PAOK and will guide the club’s B Team.
In 2020, Stelios Malezas hung up his boots and burried his nose into the books in order to follow his dream of coaching. PAOK offered him a challenge and he could not not refuse it. After all, as he said, apart from the joys and successes, it’s the difficult times that really shape a person.
