ACF Fiorentina: Kept the main group, but lost in Rome
ACF Fiorentina refrained from making huge changes to their squad, kept on to their stars, despite the huge demand for Juan Cuadrado in particular, and made acquisitions of substance without wasting their capital. The players who left Florence this summer are: Massimo Ambrosini, Marvin Compper, Mattia Cassani, Ryder Matos, Ante Rebić, Kenneth Zohore and Matías Vecino.
The Viola acquired the following players: Marko Marin (on loan from Chelsea FC), Ciprian Tătărușanu (from Steaua București), Octávio (on loan from Botafogo), José María Basanta (CF Monterrey), Joshua Brillante (Newcastle United Jets FC), Jasmin Kurtić (US Sassuolo Calcio), Micah Richards (on loan from Manchester City FC), Milan Badelj (Hamburger SV).
On Saturday, ACF Fiorentina lost 2-0 to AS Roma in the Stadio Olimpico of the Italian capital.
Their line-up: Neto, Tomović, Alonso, Savić, Rodríguez, Vargas (72′ Aquilani), Valero, Pizarro, Brillante (35′ Iličić), Gómez, Babacar (63′ Joaquín).
EA Guingamp: A loanee from Olympiacos and a league defeat
The French Cup holders made quite a few changes to their roster this summer. They welcomed Sambou Yatabaré (on loan from Olympiacos FC), Sylvain Marveaux (on loan from Newcastle United), Jérémy Pied (on loan from OGC Nice), Ronnie Schwartz Nielsen (Randers FC), Lars Jacobsen (FC København), Maxim Baca (FC Lorient), Jonas Lössl (FC Midtjylland), Julien Cardy, (AC Arles-Avignon), Benjamin Angoua (Valenciennes FC).
The star of the team, Mustapha Yatabaré, moved to Trabzonspor A.Ş. on the day the summer transfer window expired. The following players also left EA Guingamp this summer: Mana Dembélé, Jonathan Martins-Pereira, Fatih Atık, Steeven Langil, Paul Babiloni, Guy N’Dy Assembé, Grégory Cerdan, Julien Bègue and Tiécoro Keita.
On Sunday, EA Guingamp suffered a heavy 4-0 away loss to FC Lorient, fielding the following line-up:
Samassa, Baca, Lemaître, Sorbon, Kerbrat, Giresse (65′ Douniama), Diallo, Mathis, Beauvue (70’ Mandanne), Marveaux (80’ Schwartz), Yatabaré.
Summer transfer window ignored by Dinamo Minsk
With the Belarussian league already in advanced stages, as the regular season ended, the summer transfer window was not a priority for the Dinamo Minsk people. They just released two players: Dmitri Gusenko and Vladimir Hvachinski
Last Sunday, Dinamo Minsk prevailed 2-0 in their away game against 3rd-placed Naftan and keep trailing leaders BATE Borisov by two points after 22 matches played. Udoji (48’) and Stasevich were on target for PAOK’s first opponent in the UEFA Europa League group stage.
