Alexandros Tziolis and Giannis Skondras talked to media representatives in the mixed zone of “Georgios Karaiskakis” after PAOK’s triumph. Here is what they said:

Alexandros Tzolis spoke of a deserved win:

“It was a deserved victory. We were rather tentative at first, but then got the game under control. Our lack of concentration led to conceding the equalizer. Our will and sacrifice showed on the pitch and led to a deserved win. The league goes on, we have the lead but there are many games left».

“Our coach knows best -he sure had some tricks up his sleeve today and used them. What matters most is our self-sacrifice and our determined effort to help the team. The match went our way, we are deserved winners, but there are tricky encounters ahead”.

“We were furious at conceding that goal. It’s frustrating and wrong to take the lead and get equalized almost immediately. However, seeing how the match was unfolding, we were confident we would restore our lead”.

“We have the potential. There are many parameters in claiming a league title. It’s still December. We are tired and have to handle all options. I stand by my opinion that this is just another away win against a good side. We need to remain at our best in order to expand our fine run”.

Giannis Skondras sustained an injury at “Karaiskakis”, nevertheless he paused in the mixed zone to offer his view of the match:

“We need to stop celebrating right away, because there is a tough encounter against Xanthi just around the corner. We reacted well to the equalizer. We were more determined than Olympiacos in the second half and managed to win”.
