Ten-year old Vangelis from Giannitsa adores PAOK and football, his grandfather having initiated him into the world of the “Double-Headed Eagle”. Sadly he was deprived of the joy of kicking a ball around since he was very young, as he suffers from a condition reducing his mobility.

His love for PAOK remains strong though. Despite the difficulties he faces, little Vangelis makes it a point not to miss the home games of his favourite team. He also manages to travel away from Thessaloniki for PAOK –as he did a few weeks ago, when he attended their European encounter at “Artemio Franchi” of Florence against ACF Fiorentina.

Apart from the trip to Italy, his grandfather had another major surprise in store for him: lunch with his favourite player, Dimitris Salpingidis!

Little Vangelis couldn’t contain his excitement when he saw Salpi approaching the table where he was sitting with his friends. The captain of PAOK later invited his little friend to Toumba, to meet the rest of the “Double-Headed Eagle’s” players.
