The training match held at Nea Mesimvria on Friday was a great opportunity for the players to escape from the daily routine of sessions and for the coaching staff to monitor the progress of the U20 team.

Angelos Anastasiadis had just 11 players at his disposal, among them the two goalkeepers (Asterios Giakoumis and Charles Itandje) who played 45 minutes for each team. Dimitris Papadopoulos, Hedwiges Maduro, Facundo Pereyra and Giorgos Tzavellas followed their own recuperation programs.

Spyropoulos, Katsikas, Vítor, Kitsiou, Tzandaris, Savvidis, Martens, Konstantinidis and Golasa were joined by Panagiotidis of U20.

The match (consisting of two 35-minute halves) had good pace and several goalscoring opportunities in both boxes. PAOK U20s prevailed with a spot kick by Syrakos, awarded by “referee” Grigoris Kavalieratos for a handfoul of Tzandaris in the first half.

Vladan Ivić’s U20 started the match with Giakoumis, Topalidis, Anastasiou, Siampanis, Tselepidis, Toumanidis, Patralis, Kakko, Dimitriadis, Syrakos and Pouflis. Pantekidis, Ratza, Karolidis, Chatzidimpas and Piastopoulos came off the bench in the second half.
