Facundo Pereyra spoke to Novasports TV ahead of PAOK’s encounter against Panthrakikos. Here is what the Argentinian player had to say about the victory in Belarus over Dinamo Minsk, the upcoming game of Sunday and the PAOK fans.

About the match against Dinamo Minsk and the showdown against EA Guingamp:

“It was important to win. I feel at ease with the playmaking role and I am glad I helped the team. It was a tough, must-win encounter. Thankfully we got all three points and now we have another must-win game against EA Guingamp. All matches are tough. Defeating Dinamo Minsk was imperative in order to maintain hope of progressing to the knock-out stages. The visit of EA Guingamp is very important, as another win will see us qualify –and we all want that”.

About the main rival at Belarus: the lengthy break from competition, the freezing cold or Dinamo Minsk?

“A combination of all three. It was freezing cold, our rivals were good and it had been a while since we last played. However we managed to get all three points”.

About the PAOK fans who made the trip to Belarus:

“They were impressive, considering the cold. It was amazing to see them there. I am very happy we won and we managed to offer them this victory. After the match we gave them our shirts as a token of our appreciation for their lengthy trip and their warm support”.

About the Panthrakikos game:

“We had a complicated trip and just a few days to rest. We will try to put that behind us quickly, as the three-pointer at home is a must”.
