After a successful trial period training with PAOK, Sotiris Papagiannopoulos joined the club permanently on Thursday! The former defender of Assyriska FF penned a contract linking him with PAOK FC from 1 January 2015 until 31 December 2017.

Born in Stockholm on 5 September 1990 he started his professional career at AFC United and then had spells to Akropolis IF and Assyriska FF, before his move to Thessaloniki.

Upon the completion of the deal, the 1.90 m. tall central defender said:

“I am happy to move here, this is the biggest step in my career. I would like to thank the people of PAOK for taking an interest in me and completing the transfer, as they give me the opportunity to prove them right through hard work at the highest level. I would prefer not to say more, until fans can see and appreciate for themselves what I can bring to the team”.
