Panagiotis Glykos spoke to media representatives in Toumba’s mixed zone. Here is what he had to say:

About the match:

“We didn’t expect this result, it was a game of no tomorrow. We needed to win, but didn’t start well. We conceded the first goal from a set piece and that made things worse. We managed to level from the spot. We wanted to turn the tie around, the match became increasingly open with chances to score and errors on a heavy pitch. We weren’t luck, we will bad about our elimination but we should look ahead now”.

About the reasons of elimination:

“There was nothing concrete at fault. We all put on an effort and it was positive that we even had the opportunity to qualify here after two good away results. But it just wasn’t meant to be. Our opponents deserved to qualify –in both our matches they were good. Our fans gave us strength. We remain at the top on the domestic front and maybe this elimination has a silver lining”.

What the players said after the match in the centre of the pitch:

“We said that we have two goals and should give it all to achieve them. Our coach told us to forget about tonight’s match –it’s a new day tomorrow”.
