The international break provided an excellent opportunity for PAOK’s training staff to focus their work on several factors that are usually left aside during a heavy schedule of back-to-back matches.
After Monday’s physical condition training, PAOK players worked on their muscle strengthening through jogging and weight exercises in the gym on Tuesday. Ergys Kace and Dimitris Salpingidis trained along with their teammates but in less intense rhythm. As for Efthymis Koulouris, he followed a recuperation program after participating in Greece U19’s matches.
Dimitris Konstantinidis and Stelios Pozatzidis didn’t train as they suffer from a viral infection. Eyal Golasa did physical condition exercises in the gym. He is expected to do jogging on Wednesday, after having the stitches taken off his toe.
Hedwiges Maduro did physiotherapy in the gym due to calf pains. Panagiotis Deligiannidis returned from his Greece U19 duty complaining of quadriceps pains and he will have an MRI to determine the exact nature of his injry.
Wednesday’s training session is scheduled to begin at 18.00 at Nea Mesimvia.
