Stefanos Athanasiadis and Giorgos Katsikas represented PAOK players in the mixed zone and both agreed that the team deserved to lose. Here is what they said:

Stefanos Athanasiadis: «We didn’t deserve something more out of this match. We didn’t play as we should and deserved to lose. We knew our opponent, we had studied them before the match. It wasn’t our day and we got defeated. Whatever we set out to do, we couldn’t do it. As soon as the second half started we conceded two quick goals and then were chasing after the score. We must be more demure in upcoming encounters, because there is no other way to reach the next stage«.

Giorgos Katsikas: «We started well and had the match under control in the first 20 minutes. But the situation shifted quickly. In the last 15 minutes of the first half, we were lucky not to fall two goals behind. But that happened very early in the second half and we chased after the score. Our opponents were good, despite occupying last place in the domestic standings. I congratulate them for a deserved victory. We should keep our heads down and not let recent results make us arrogant».
