Saturday’s session at Toumba was actually the first and last training sandwiched between the encounters against Dinamo Minsk and Panthrakikos. After a series of physical condition drills and stretching exercises to overcome the fatigue from the trip to Belarus, PAOK players worked on technical and tactical aspects of their game, with 5-2 and a training match in reduced pitch.

Those who played all 90 minutes against Dinamo Minsk followed their own recovery program. Stefanos Athanasiadis remained in the gym and continued physiotherapy to deal with a knock sustained in the big toe of his left foot. His condition has improved, but it is not certain yet that he will be at the disposal of Angelos Anastasiadis.

Alexandros Tziolis’ participation is also in doubt, as he is undergoing treatment for a sore groin. Róbert Mak and Hedwiges Maduro will not be included in their coach’s plans on Sunday. The former is feeling better but had not yet reached 100% of his recovery. The latter is not complaining of calf pains any more, but has missed many training sessions. Giorgos Katsikas and Panagiotis Deligiannidis are also sidelined through injury.

After the training session, PAOK players and coaching staff had dinner in the VIP area of Toumba’s 4th floor. They will meet again on Sunday morning for their usual stretching session.
