On 27 February 2007, a stripling from PAOK’s youth sections was given his baptism of fire by Giorgos Paraschos. He put on the historic shirt of the “Double-Headed Eagle” for the first time, to play against Larissa at Toumba Stadium. It’s been almost eight years since then and the stripling has grown up –considerably. He became a captain, a top scorer and an iconic figure for our team. Stefanos Athanasiadis reached the 200-match milestone for PAOK in the encounter against EA Guingamp, scoring his 83rd goal in the process.
