Belgian Sébastien Delferiere will take charge of Thursday’s UEFA Europa League match between ACF Fiorentina and PAOK, corresponding to matchday 4 of the competition’s group stage. The 33-year old has been an international since 2011 and is considered an up-and-coming referee of Belgium. This season in the UEFA Europa League he handled one play-off match (Nacional – Dinamo Minsk 2-3 –he awarded a penalty to the home side for the opener) and one group stage match (Celtic – Dinamo Zagreb 1-0). He was also assigned two Euro 2016 qualifiers: Russia – Liechtenstein 4-0 and Ukraine – FYROM 1-0.

He has officiated at 31 UEFA matches in his refereeing career, 88 encounters of Belgium’s Jupiler Pro League and 6 of the Netherlands’ Eredivisie. Delferiere will be accompanied by Yves De Neve and Frank Bleyen, the assistant referees, with Rien Vanyzere acting as fourth official. Jonathan Lardot and Bart Vertenten complete the team as additional assistant referees.
