The calendar is loaded with matches and trips, therefore PAOK players were summoned at Nea Mesimvria on Thursday, just a few hours after their return to Thessaloniki from their demanding match at “Georgios Karaiskakis”. The next high-intensity match is just a few days away, as Angelos Anastasiadis points out repeatedly.
Those who started the “Karaiskakis” encounter, went through a cool-down session with recuperation drills, massages, physiotherapy and hydrotherapy. This group included also Panagiotis Glykos and Dimitris Salpingidis, who collected some… souvenirs from Wednesday’s game. Glykos did physiotherapy to deal with the knock sustained by Luka Milivojević, as well as Salpingidis who suffered an ankle edema. However both players are expected to be at their coach’s disposal for the Xanthi game on Sunday. On the contrary, Giannis Skondras suffered a clavicle dislocation and will abstain from trainings for the next 10 days.
The remaining players trained normally, their program consisting of physical condition drills plus technical and tactical exercises with ball. Róbert Mak and Hedwiges Maduro rejoined the group, no longer complaining of pains. Panagiotis Deligiannidis trained on his own in high tempo, while Giorgos Katsikas did physiotherapy. Friday’s training session is scheduled to begin at 16.00.
