Austrian referee Robert Schörgenhofer has been appointed by UEFA for the UEFA Europa League matchday 5 encounter between Dinamo Minsk and PAOK, to be held on Thursday evening at Borisov, Belarus.

Born in February 1973 at Vorarlberg in Austria, Robert Schörgenhofer has been a referee since the age of 18 and was promoted to FIFA matches in 2007. In the summer of 2011, he joined the Elite Development category of UEFA and on that same summer he officiated at two international tournaments: the U21 final stage and the FIFA U20 World Cup. In September 2011 he refereed his first UEFA Champions League match, but the following season saw him relegated to 1st category.

Schörgenhofer has handled two friendly encounters of the Greece national team (the 2-2 draw vs South Korea in 2010 and another draw, 1-1 against Slovenia in 2012). Last season, he refereed the Maccabi Haifa – AZ Alkmaar match (0-1), corresponding to PAOK’s section in the UEFA Europa League group stage.

The 41-year-old will be accompanied by Matthias Winsauer and Roland Brandner, the assistant referees, with Richard Huebler acting as fourth official. Rene Eisnerand Dominik Ouschan complete the team as additional assistant referees.

Czech Miroslav Liba will be the UEFA Referee observer, while Russian Vladislav Khodeev is the UEFA delegate.
