An old acquaintance, who was educated with the philosophy of the PAOK Academy, Giorgos Vrakas returned to PAOK, signing a contract with the Double-headed Eagle until 2023.
Vrakas was born on April 28, 2001 in Giannina, and from a young age he joined the youth academy at AO Giannina. In 2014 he took a big step and became a member of the PAOK Academy. He impressed at all age levels with the black and whites, and he was of course also a regular squad member in the Greek national team youth set-up, and he arrived in 2017 to make his debut with the club in a game against Aeginiakos in the Greek Cup. In fact, he became the second youngest player ever to make his debut for PAOK.
In August 2018 he left and became a member of Napoli’s reserve team. During his two years in Italy, Vrakas made 20 appearances, scoring three goals and contributing three assists. In the summer of 2020, he decided to return to Greece, with PAOK not hesitating to jump at the opportunity to sign the young attacking midfielder for the next three years.
