Just before his 17th birthday, he scored the winning goal that gave PAOK the Super League U17 title. A year later, he broke Stefanos Athanasiadis’ goalscoring record in the U20s. He went on to celebrate yet another title with them. His tally stopped at 25, as he then joined the seniors. On 13 February 2014 he made his debut for the first team in the Greek Cup encounter against Apollon Smyrni and managed to score a brace in 45 minutes. An impressive start for one of Greece’s greatest talents.
Efthymis Koulouris got the football bug from his father Prokopis and his brother. The latter played in the youth ranks, but then devoted himself to his studies.
His dream of a football career became more intense when he moved to Thessaloniki for PAOK and became a regular at Toumba as a ball boy in 2009-10. At night, when he closed his eyes, all images going through his head were football related. Mainly goals and celebrations, as he no longer featured as midfielder. He was born to spearhead the attack and his idol is none other than Zlatan Ibrahimovic. At PAOK, he looks up to Stefanos Athanasiadis, the player he substituted against Apollon Smyrni.
In the summer of 2014, he joined PAOK seniors permanently.
