A new member of the technical staff for the 2023-24 season, the Romanian Christian Fota arrives at PAOK with the aim of contributing to the psychological support and empowerment of the players. The new technician will assume the duties of mental health coach and will focus o the process of helping to build and/or improve players mental functions through various specific methods and strategies.
Cristian Fota studied economics, he also has a coaching diploma and along the way he has worked in the field of psychological empowerment of athletes.
From 2017 until today, Christian Fota has worked with athletes in various sports and worked with football clubs such as Rapid Bucharest and Brasov. In 2021 he took charge of the Romanian national handball team, contributing to their qualification to the finals of EURO 2022, and in the 2002-23 season, as a member of the technical staff of CSM Bucharest handball team, he celebrated the treble in Romania. He speaks English and German.
