A.Zivkovic was born in Nis, Serbia, on July 11, 1996. He joined the youth academies of his local side Nis Nacional, and his performances quickly impressed the country’s leading clubs. Partizan Belgrade signed him in 2009, initially for the club’s development squad.

He made his debut with the first team on April 28, 2013 against Novi Pazar. In August of the same year he signed his first professional contract, while two days later he scored his first goal for the club. He won a role in the team straight away, becoming a key player and then went on to become the youngest captain in the club’s history.

At the same time, the young winger was a major cog in Serbia’s national team that won the Under-20 World Cup in 2015, while before that he had managed to become the youngest player ever to play for the country’s full senior national team when head coach Sinisa Mihajlovic gave him the opportunity in a friendly against Japan.

His record with Partizan up to February 2016 reads: 93 games, 24 goals, and 13 assists, with two league championships and a Serbian Cup winners medal.

In July 2016, Benfica moved quickly to sign him and he remained in Portugal for four years, playing in 88 games, scoring four goals and contributing 24 assists, while winning two league championships and a Portuguese Cup in the process. During this period he also became a key member of the Serbian national team squad, representing his country in the 2018 World Cup.

The Double-headed Eagle has moved quickly and methodically to bring A.Zivkovic to Thessaloniki.
