The international break provides Giorgos Georgiadis and his assistants the opportunity to work on specific aspects and improve the team’s physical and tactical condition ahead of their next league engagements.
In the first part of Tuesday’s training session, the “Double-Headed Eagle” players did inter- and intramuscular coordination exercises as well as functional strength drills under the supervision of Dimitris Daniilidis. Afterwards, they worked on their tactics will reduced-space games, Georgiadis explaining to them how he wants them to move on the pitch.
Alexandros Tziolis did physiotherapy in the gym to recover from his two back-to-back games. Ricardo Costa began his recovery program after returning from Portugal, Hedwiges Maduro continues his muscular strengthening program while Răzvan Raț follows a special therapy session supervised by Romania’s head of medical services as well.
On Wednesday 25 March, the “Double-Headed Eagle” players will be treated to a double training session at Nea Mesimvria, at 10.30 and at 17.30.
