Giannis Skondras has been called to the national team of Greece. His strong performances since the start of the season didn’t go unnoticed and he is the latest addition to the Greece roster ahead of their upcoming Euro 2016 qualifiers against Finland and Northern Ireland. He will be joining there his clubmatesDimitris Salpingidis, Alexandros Tziolis, Stefanos Athanasiadis and Panagiotis Glykos.
Shortly after learning about the call, Giannis Skondras told paokfc.gr: “It is an honour to be called to the national team. Every player dreams of playing for his country and I was given the opportunity to fulfill this dream through PAOK.
However nothing changes for me. I regard this call as a reward for our hard work since the beginning of the season and I will continue my effort to improve with each match. It is important for PAOK to have five players in the national squad and I believe that other guys have the potential to represent Greece as well.
On a personal level, I will try to live up to the expectations of those who believe in me and I hope that I will help the national team on their quest”.
