Facundo Pereyra won the Vodafone MVP award for the opening day of the Greek Super League, as he netted the equalizer for PAOK and had an overall good performance – at least until Kominis decided to dismiss him.
The newly-acquired Argentinian striker didn’t get to enjoy his award. After collecting it, he said:
“I can’t feel happy about my goal, as it didn’t lead to a win, while I also got sent off. I even tried to keep my rival from falling. We have to work more on our finishing. Today and in Moldova we created chances to score, but failed to do so”.
