Biseswar picks up injury ahead of FC Basel games

After the encounter against De Graafschap, Diego Biseswar complained of pains in the left knee and was given a special physiotherapy schedule by the medical team for the next 48 hours.
His leg didn’t respond to physiotherapy as the doctors expected and there was swelling and reduced mobility of the area. Biseswar did an MRI on Wednesday for an accurate assessment of his condition, however his participation in the encounters against FC Basel is highly doubtful.
Omar El Kaddouri will also do an MRI. He followed a personalized program of high intensity with ball drills. The outcome of his medical tests will determine whether he will be at the disposal of Răzvan Lucescu for Tuesday’s match in Toumba Stadium.
Fernando Varela has recovered from the knock he sustained in the encounter against De Graafschap and trained normally. The session consisted of tactical work ahead of the ties against FC Basel.
