May Day at Toumba

In football, players don´t get a break on Workers’ Day. PAOK footballers got to spend it on the pitch of Toumba Stadium, training for the Levadiakos game.

01.05.2015

After the usual warm-up, players engaged in ball circulation in reduced space, 5-2 games and of course intensive tactical work. Through practice, Giorgos Georgiadis analysed the way the team must move and create space, numerical advantage in attack and chances to score through their passing game. Meanwhile, the Greek coach asked his players to press their rivals high up the pitch in order to prevent them from reaching PAOK’s box.

There are no injury worries, as Stefanos Athanasiadis trains normally. Georgiadis however cannot count on him due to suspension –he will be back in action for the play-offs. Miguel Vítor is also sidelined, serving the second match of his ban against Levadiakos. Dimitris Salpingidis continues his recovery program.

PAOK will train at Toumba on 17.30 on Sunday and, afterwards, Giorgos Georgiadis will announce his squad for the Levadiakos game.
