Prepping up for the last chance
The final whistle of the encounter against Atromitos found PAOK at their lowest point of the season. The “Double-Headed Eagle” are currently fourth in the play-offs, with just one match left on their calendar. However, even now they have the opportunity to finish in style and improve their conditions.
To pull that off, PAOK need to win in Tripolis on Sunday. Despite their injury problems and their disappointment by back-to-back negative results, the “Double-Headed Eagle” must fight for the best.
Ergys Kace is suspended for the encounter against Asteras at Tripolis and Răzvan Raț will sit out with a 2nd degree strain in the right groin. Dimitris Konstantinidis is also ruled out and he will have an MRI to determine the extent of his injury.
Róbert Mak and Stefanos Athanasiadis, who managed to play on Wednesday after getting injections, are still complaining of back pains and their participation is in doubt.
With respect to the training session, those who started Wednesday’s game did recuperation work. The rest engaged in possession games in reduced space and half-pitch tactical drills.
The training session of Friday 5 June is scheduled to start at 17.30 at Toumba Stadium.
