PAOK U11s are on the verge of becoming a tiny… superpower in European football! They won the renowned Lokoball international tournament for a second consecutive season and we are especially proud for their accomplishments, as they are “our” children. But have you wondered how do these diminutive champions appear to a stranger who watches them for the first time?

2012-ch-1

German journalist Tino Künzel, who lives in Moscow and has been working for the German-speaking Russian newspaper for the last ten years, was among those who attended the “Lokoball 2014”. After watching PAOK, he sent us the following e-mail that we post unedited:

“Dear friends,

I happened to be in “Lokomotiv Moscow” Stadium and attend the final of the Lokoball tournament, that your side won.

Let me inform you that –to my surprise- most people in the stands (mainly the players of the remaining participating teams) were rooting for PAOK most enthusiastically!

It’s obvious that your team has attracted attention and sympathy! It happened to me as well. Despite being totally ignorant of what was happening, as a spectator I realized that they are not just a talented team, but also a very likeable, friendly and funny group of boys!

I enjoyed particularly their burst of joy after the victory and the “professional” way of celebrating! Please find attached some pictures I took.

I wish you good luck in your work and I am confident that the future is most promising, as evidenced by your boys last Sunday in Moscow”!

No further comments from us. Just let us add once again our heartfelt congratulations to the youngsters who expand PAOK’s name abroad…
