The home shirt of PAOK could only have black and white stripes. This season, however, the “Double-Headed Eagle” leave the thin stripes of last year and return to the thick ones.

The new kit of PAOK has the aura of champions, as it was inspired by the shirt worn by the 1975-76 team who won the first league title for the club.

Stripe within the stripe

The special feature bringing together the old and the new is the stripe within the stripe. This tendency is becoming increasingly popular in sports gear, as witnessed in the recent FIFA World Cup. PAOK shirt has very thin stripes of the same colour within the basic stripe. This is a unique detail, brought to Greece for the first time by PAOK.

Another innovation is the trailblazing collar launched in Europe by Macron, PAOK being one of the first teams to sport it. The back of the new shirt is all black and, combined with the black shorts, give an all-time classic look to the team.

Simplicity and design

The away shirt however steals the show. It’s the first time that PAOK will sport the graphite grey. This look combines the simple design and the special depiction of the double-headed eagle crest in the front. A buttoned collar completes a very classy and special design.

Connection with the fans

The secret detail making the difference lies in the inside. It’s the crucial link between the club and the fans. At the bottom side, there is a logo: “The people of PAOK were born in the neighbourhoods and the streets”.

PAOK kit doesn’t only stand out for the design, but its cutting-edge technology as well. Italian sportswear company Macron has applied its know-how to create an even lighter shirt, with fabric that helps the body breath and keeps the desired temperature throughout the encounter.
