PAOK held on Monday their first of two training sessions ahead of their Wednesday match against Olympiacos. Those who featured against Panthrakikos did recuperation work with low intensity drills, physiotherapy, massage and hydrotherapy. The remaining players went through physical condition exercises without ball on the pitch.

As for those who suffer from injuries or accumulated fatigue, they followed their specialized training along with rehabilitation work. In detail:

Giorgos Tzavellas, who asked to be substituted on Sunday, didn’t suffer an injury but complained of pains related to his previous injury, therefore he was sparred from training and did recuperation work. Stefanos Athanasiadis and Alexandros Tziolis trained apart from their teammates and are both one step from returning to full training. That will be decided on Tuesday’s session scheduled to begin at noon in Toumba Stadium. Róbert Mak trained on his own in high intensity and his recuperation is progressing nicely, as well as Hedwiges Maduro’s condition. Panagiotis Deligiannidis continues his recuperation program and individual training, while Giorgos Katsikas, who suffered a biceps femoris’ strain, is doing physiotherapy.

Angelos Anastasiadis will pick his squad for the Karaiskakis match after Tuesday’s training session.
