Róbert Mak, who scored the solitary goal in PAOK’s victory over Panetolikos, spoke to media representatives after the final whistle/. Here is what he had to say:

“I have often said and I repeat it today –I thank PAOK for the opportunity to be here. I joined a big and ambitious club in a strong league. You saw today that our rivals were very good.

I am often asked to compare myself with Miroslav Stoch. My answer is that I can’t do it. Stoch is a very good player, I am a different type of footballer. He is my friend and spoke wonders about PAOK before I joined them. I hope fans will get to love me for what I bring to the team.

Thessaloniki is just beautiful and its people are warm and that helps me do my work –play football- to the best of my abilities. Everybody is asking about the bras-de-fer with Olympiacos and whether we can overtake them in the league. However, until that clash, we have a Greek Cup match, the league encounter against OFI and the trip to France for our Europa League game against EA Guingamp. It’s no use to talk in advance about it. We are working hard and our coach wants us to be a compact team. I believe that our work is paying off so far.

PAOK hand me the opportunity to be important in the team and I want to become a part of big successes to come, before I even contemplate upcoming moves in my career”.
