Charalambos Kalogeropoulos will take charge of the encounter between Platanias and PAOK at Chania, as he did last season in the same venue (PAOK were defeated 2-1). However he is remembered more for his calls in the first leg of last season’s Greek Cup semi-finals (Olympiacos – PAOK 2-1), when he chose to dismiss Miroslav Stoch, but allowed Valdés and Fuster to continue, although they engaged in similar unsporting behaviour.
Kalogeropoulos (from Athens) made his debut in the Super League on 6 February 2010. He has also handled PAOK’s two encounters against Doxa Dramas in 2011-12 (two 2-0 victories for the “Double-Headed Eagle”) and their away 1-0 victory over Levadiakos in 2012-13.
Kalogeropoulos will be accompanied by assistant referees Christos Akrivos and Giannis Toumpakaris (both from Athens), with Anastasios Papapetrou (also Athens) acting as fourth official. Dimitris Bersis (Arkadia) will be the match delegate.
