The pupils of Mirosław Sznaucner and Alekos Theodoridis made light work of their match on 29 April, as the scoreline suggests. Their victory could have been larger, had they not been denied three times by woodwork.

PAOK were caught napping in the 1st minute of the encounter, a blunder by their goalkeeper handing their rivals the lead. They snapped out of the shock immediately. Chatzistravos had a shot on woodwork and then Alopoudis leveled in the 20th minute, heading home Lazaridis’s cross. Four minutes later, the “Double-Headed Eagle” took the lead with another header by Vafiadis, following a corner kick by Alopoudis.

Draganis’s shot rattled the post in the 42nd minute and, just seconds later, Polyzos sent the ball at the back of the net with a close header. Kontothanasis sealed PAOK’s 4-1 victory in the 78th minute.
