PAOK players were treated to double training on Wednesday. In the morning they went to Nea Mesimvria for a session of physical condition and muscle strengthening drills.
In the afternoon, at Toumba, they played a half-pitch training match with three touches. Dimitris Papadopoulos, who sustained a thigh strain during the encounter against Olympiacos, started a recovery program, while Stefanos Athanasiadis remained in the gym for physiotherapy due to his iliopsoas muscle injury. PAOK skipper will hit the pitch on Thursday to test his leg.
Charles Itandje didn’t train due to pains in the upper part of the left calf, while Dimitris Salpingidis also sat out complaining of persisting pains in the foot. The Greek forward will continue conservative treatment in upcoming days in order to reduce the pain.
Fanis Tzandaris followed specialized training due to his left groin stretch. Alexandros Tziolis returned to full training without complaining of groin pains.
Thursday’s training session is scheduled to start at 11.30 at Nea Mesimvria.
