Another high-profile friendly encounter of PAOK has been confirmed. The “Double-Headed Eagle” have been invited by SSC Napoli for a match at “San Paolo”, on Saturday 2 August at 22.00 (Greek time).
It’s been already 26 years since PAOK’s last visit to the Napoli stadium, when they were defeated 1-0 by Diego Armando Maradona’s side on 7 September 1988. The two-legged tie against the “Partenopei” and the trip of PAOK faithful fans to Southern Italy has a special place in the “Double-Headed Eagle’s” European history.
SSC Napoli have won the UEFA Cup once (1989) and also boast two scudetti (1987, 1990), 5 Coppe Italia (1962, 1976, 1987, 2012, 2014) and one Supercoppa Italiana (1990)
