Angelos Anastasiadis spoke to Novasports about the upcoming away encounter against PAS Giannina. Here is what the Macedonian tactician had to say about his bond with the Ioannina outfit, the encounter itself and the fact that PAOK haven’t had much time to prep for the match.
About his personal bond with PAS Giannina:
“I have given my soul to this team, because they were the first club I worked for after returning from Cyprus and being absent from the Greek scene for 7-8 years. They were the first to honour me by offering me a coaching job. We put on a huge effort then and the team escaped relegation. I had and I still have the best impressions of the people and the administration and everyone involved with that club. I still have good friends there, I am interested in their news and I am happy they are doing well. They have a very good coach and the guys I worked with were excellent”.
About the encounter against PAS Giannina:
“We have been playing back-to-back matches on heavy pitches and that has taken a toll. We have many problems in our preparation but we will try to do our best and remain at the top of the standings without suffering loss of points”.
About the period of just four days the team had to prepare for the match:
“Between the Guingamp match and the one against AO Kerkyra, we had just 2,5 days at our disposal. So thank God”.
