PAOK Network expands in Cyprus
PAOK Academy is making a dynamic return to Cyprus, through the Maracana academy in Nicosia. The start of the collaboration and the academy’s entry into the PAOK Network were formalized during their visit to Cyprus (March 31 to April 2) by PAOK Academy General Manager, Vangelis Pourliotopoulos, and the head of PAOK Network, Giorgos Gourtsas.
The aim of the collaboration is none other than to strengthen the bond between the two organisations at both a technical and competitive level, and to create a stable channel of communication and contact with the island.
The Maracana academy has approximately 180 young players on their books, boys and girls from ages 4-17 years old, with a specialized program for pre-school children as well, and teams participating in the domestic championships in the Under-14, Under-15, Under-16 and Under-17 categories.
It should be noted that during the visit made by the PAOK executives, the Maracana academy hosted the 9th Pancyprian “No Bullying» tournament, with the participation of 26 academies.
