Vote for the March NOVA MVP
March was a month of ups and downs for PAOK. The team started with a win over Asteras AKTOR, suffered a bitter defeat against Athens Kallithea in the regular season finale, but entered the Play Offs strong, achieving a major upset against AEK at the OPAP Arena.
The first candidate for the title of NOVA MVP of the month is Giannis Konstantelias . Mr. Breeze made a decisive contribution to the great victory over AEK, scoring the first goal and giving the impetus for the upset. With intensity in his game, smart moves between the lines and correct decisions in the final third, he tormented anyone that stood in his way.
Giannis Michailides is also a contender. The left-footed central defender produced one of his best performances of the season against AEK, showing supreme composure at the back and also making two excellent long passes that were transformed into goals by Konstantelias and A. Zivkovic. The Lion was solid and a crucial presence, helping in all phases of the game.
The trio of candidates is completed by Ali Samatta. The Tanzanian striker was instrumental in the victory over Asteras AKTOR, as he provided the assist for his team to take a 1-0 lead, and then scored the second goal, «locking up» the three points. At the same time, he continued to contribute all over the pitch with his energy and tactical consistency, creating spaces and providing solutions to the team’s attacking game.
