Contracts for Papadopoulos, Areti, Matera and Kalpakis
PAOK have rewarded four more youngsters with professional contracts. All four are Under-17 players, and league title winners, with two of them being actually from the younger age category (born in 2009).
Michalis Papadopoulos signed his first professional contract, valid from July 2025 until 30.06.2028. He was born in 2008, and plays as a midfielder for the Under-17 side, with whom he has made 23 appearances as a starter so far this season. He joined PAOK in 2023 from Xanthi. He is already a league title winner at Under-17 level.
PAOK have also given Antonis Areti a professional contract (from July 2025 until 30.06.2028). The Under-17 striker was born in 2008, came to the club in 2023 from Ajax Stars academy and already has 11 goals and seven assists this season. He is a league title winner with the Under-17s and a Greek youth international at the same level.
After seven years at PAOK, Marios Matera, born in 2009, also becomes a professional with a contract valid from July 2025 until 30.06.2028. He is a midfielder, who although belongs to the Under-16s, is already playing in the Under-17 team (two goals, one assist), with which he has already mathematically won the championship. Last season, he also celebrated a league title win at Under-15 level.
Born in 2009, is also the 1.82m-tall defender Thodoris Kalpakis, who signed his first professional contract that is valid from July 2025 until 30.06.2027. He came to PAOK in 2021 from Alexandros Kilkis, and is a league title winner at Under-15 level, and although he belongs to the Under-16s, this season he is playing for the Under-17s, with which he already has three goals. He is a league title winner with the Under-17s and a Greek international at the same level.
