Under-19s win 5-1 in Agrinio

PAOK’s Under-19 side easily overcame the obstacle of Panaitolikos, winning 5-1 in Agrinio on Matchday 15 and temporarily moved top of the table, ahead of Olympiacos’ game tomorrow.

PAOK B are currently tied at the top of the Super League with 58 points from 23 games, along with Panathinaikos. Olympiacos have collected 56 points from 21 games. There are three matches left until the end, with PAOK taking a break from their league obligations and turning their attention to the Greek Cup semi-final with Panathinaikos, which will be held on April 12 in Koropi.

In Agrinio, PAOK took the lead via Mythos in the 16th minute, after an assist from Berdos, and then again in the 39th minute Mythos struck once more (the pass came from Koupenos), for Tsiapakidis and Hagan’s side to go 2-0 up. The home side reduced the deficit in the fourth minute of added time at the end of first half with a penalty. In the second half, however, PAOK were on fire. In the 58th minute, Polykratis passed to Balde who made it 3-1, then in the 79th minute, Mythos scored his third goal, converting the rebound from Eleftheriadis shot which came back off the crossbar. And in the 94th minute, with a penalty kick taken by Kosidis, the Double-headed Eagle made the final score 5-1.
