23.03.2025

Currently, Greece are tied with Denmark in second place with three points, compared first-placed France’s six points. In the first game against Denmark, Greece were defeated 3-1, with Souvlatzis, after an assist from Krommydas, scoring. Krommydas and Berdos were in the starting lineup, while Souvlatzis, Kalpakis, and Kyriazidis also came off the bench. In the important 3-1 victory over Finland, (21.03), Berdos provided two assists, while as well as Berdos, Krommydas and Kalpakis were also in the starting XI for that game, while our other three internationals, Mokris, Kyriazidis, and Souvlatzis, also played, coming off the bench.

It;s worth remembering that Krommydas, Souvlatzis, and Kyriazidis have already signed their first professional contracts with PAOK, while Berdos has renewed his contract until 2027. Let us emphasize that this is the 2008 generation, only Souvlatzis and Kalpakis are a year younger (2009).

The leaders of the seven groups of this qualifying phase (Elite Round) will advance to the finals together with the hosts Albania, as the EURO Under-17 tournament will be held in Albania from 19.05 to 01.06.2025. The last seven of the groups are relegated to League B for the first qualifying round of the EURO Under-19 2026-27, which is the same age category. Under certain conditions, the runners-up in the groups will participate in the Under-17 World Cup, which will be held in Qatar next November with the participation of 48 teams. Eleven teams from Europe will qualify.
