Gioka, Krommydas and Souvlatzis become professionals

PAOK has rewarded three of the club’s promising “little ones” by offering them their first professional contracts. The PAOK Academy continues to train, educate, evaluate, and make plans for the future…

16.03.2025

Evangelos Gioka, who signed a contract until 30.06.2027, is turning professional. He was born in 2008, plays as a defender and defensive midfielder and came to PAOK in 2022 from Alexandros Kilkis. He won the championship with the Under-15 team, and with the Under-17 team in the 2023-24 season, although younger, and he is odds on to be crowned a champion this current season with the Under-17 team again, with who he has scored seven times so far (he has also provided two assists). He has been called up to the Albanian Under-17 squad, and also to the Greek youth squad…

Georgos Krommydas also signed his first professional contract which runs until 30.06.2027. Born in 2008, he joined PAOK in 2022 from Agia Anna Volos, and is a striker with the Under-17 team – with who he is on a full-speed journey towards winning the championship – and has already scored six goals and provided seven assists in the Super League. He was a league winner with the Under-15 team, but also with the Under-17 team last season, where, although he was the youngest, made several appearances, while he is also a Greek youth international.

The youngest of the group, born in 2009, Konstantinos Souvlatzis, also signed his first professional contract. The striker, who has been training at PAOK since 2015 (since he was six years old), also signed a contract running until 30.06.2027. Although younger, in the current 2024-25 season he is playing in the Under-17s and already has five goals and four assists to his name. He is a league winner with the Under-15s, and as it looks, he will also be crowned a champion again this year with the Under-17. He is also a Greek youth international.
