20 PAOK Academy players called up
Numerous PAOK youngsters have been called up for international duty. Greece’s Under-17 squad are one of the highlights, as they enter the battle to qualify for the EURO Under-17 championship (to be held in Albania from 19.05 to 01.06.2025), participating in the 3rd group of the 2nd qualifying phase.
Six PAOK players were called up, Dimitris Kyriazidis, Giorgos Krommydas, Dimitris Berdos, Traianos Mokris, Konstantinos Souvlatzis and Thodoris Kalpakis, with the latter two being born in 2009. Our Under-17 side will face Denmark on 19.03 (19:00), Finland on 22.03 (19:00) and France on 25.03 (17:00). The matches will be held in Dax, France. The top teams from the seven groups, plus the host country Albania, qualify for the EURO finals.
The Greek Under-21 side will play two friendly matches, one against Albania in Serres (21.03, 17:00) and the other against Bulgaria in Blagoevgrad (25.03, 18:00), with the national coach calling up three players from PAOK in Lambros Smyrlis, Marios Sinanai and Taxiarchis Filon.
The Greek Under-19 team will also play friendly matches, with nine PAOK players in their ranks. Stathis Beleris, Dimitris Bataoulas, Giorgos Kosidis, Eddie Dunga, Konstantinos Vyrsokinos, Pavlos Tsiotas, Vasilis Eleftheriadis, Thanasis Papanikopoulos and Anestis Mythos have all been called up for the two friendly matches against Serbia, which will be held at Panthessaliko in Volos on March 21 (13:00) and March 24 (13:00).
Also, Max Scznauczner has been called up to the Polish Under-19 squad for the 2nd qualifying round matches for the 2025 EURO Under-19 finals, which will take place in June in Romania. Poland will face Georgia (19.03), Montenegro (22.03) and Slovakia (25.03).
Finally, Nigerian Haruna Saleh was invited to the Nigeria Under-20 squad’s training camp.
