PAOK B get vital win
PAOK B recorded an important victory on Sunday afternoon in Efkarpia, as they defeated Ethnikos Neou Keramidiou 2-1 in the 3rd round match of the play-outs.
PAOK B are now on 13 points after two matches and next Saturday they travel to Rhodes to face Diagoras.
Just as was asked of them, PAOK B started stronger and after just seven minutes, Hatsidis made it 1-0, taking advantage of a counter-attack after Hurtado’s pass from the right. It was Hurtado’s turn on 20 minutes to score, and he beat the visitors’ goalkeeper with a nice lobbed effort, after an impressive pass from Tsaousis. However, although PAOK B were not threatened in the entire first half, they conceded a goal from a set piece in the 38th minute, to make it 2-1.
PAOK B did not start the second half as well, giving Ethnikos Neou Keramidiou the chance and space to push for an equalizer. The visitors even hit the post in the 56th minute, after Nikolakoulis’ impressive save. Despite huge tension and no small amount of stress, the home side held on to the lead and the victory until the end, giveing themselves significant breathing space in view of the games ahead.
