PAOK B slip to defeat and make life difficult

PAOK B suffered a painful defeat in Kavala in the team’s first game of the Super League 2 play-outs.

01.03.2025

Contrary to the pattern and the flow of the match, PAOK B conceded a goal in the 74th minute, failed to recover and left empty-handed, troubled and with increased anxiety in view of the next matches.

PAOK B are currently tied with Kavala on ten points.

The match was rather tense and stressful with few chances, although PAOK B had the control of the possession – meaningless as it turned out – almost throughout the 90 minutes. They did record some chances, and constantly threatened around the home team’s penalty area, however, they neither found the goal nor the strength to recover after the 74th minute, so from an inauspicious phase of play Papadopoulos made it 1-0 for Kavala.

The next game for PAOK B is a home game against Ethnikos Neou Keramidiou.

Above all, of course, what we must keep is the tribute that both teams paid to the 23-year-old Kavala player Iordanis Adamakis who was lost in the Tempi tragedy. The two captains entered the field holding the shirt of the young man who was sadly lost, while a minute of silence was naturally observed in memory of the 57 victims of the Tempi train crash.

Kavala: Astras, Katsoulidis (69′ A. Dermitzakis), Anastasopoulos, Stikas, Tsamouris (46′ P. Dermitzakis), Lelekas, Kasemi (86′ Metse), Gekas, Dimitriadis (62′ Kazantzidis), Gavriilidis (69′ Popovic), Papadopoulos.

PAOK B: Nikolakoulis, Filon, Sinanai, Lagonidis, Kottas (85′ Bataoulas), Grosdis, Tsopouroglou (85′ Tsaousis), Goumas (72′ Smyrlis), Kanis (85′ Rumiantsev), Hurtado, Gitersos (67′ Hatsidis).
