Under-17s beat OFI 2-0
With a goal in each half, PAOK’s Under-17 side overcame OFI’s strong resistance, winning 2-0 in a match that took place on Saturday afternoon in Souroti – a result which moves them six points clear of Olympiacos, with a game in hand.
In the 34th minute, Aretis crossed, Krommydas‘ header hit the post, but on the rebound, Economou scored to make it 1-0. In the 37th minute, PAOK then won a penalty – at a time when the visitors were forced to continue with ten players, due to a second yellow card – however, OFI’s goalkeeper saved Krommydas’ spot-kick but in the 86th minute, our team essentially «locked up» the victory with Aretis’ goal, after Krommydas’ cross.
The next scheduled game, the one against Lamia, will be postponed due to the absence of many of our players in the Greece natioal team squad. Therefore, the Under-17s next play on 22.02, when they will welcome Olympiacos to Souroti.
PAOK’s lineup: Maligin, Kyriazidis, Chaldezos (83′ Christodoulou), Mokris (60′ Kalpakis), Avgitidis, Papadopoulos (72′ Lyratzis), Krommydas, Tassioulas, Souvlatzis (83′ Mengidis), Economou, Aretis.
