PAOK took the lead in the 42nd minute with Kalpakis’ header after Aretis’ corner kick but the hosts pulled level in the 45th minute. At the start of the second half, however, PAOK took the lead again with Aretis sending the ball into the net on the rebound from the penalty kick he had taken. The penalty was won by Souvlatzis. It was 3-1 in the 54th minute again with Aretis the man on target, after Krommydas’ assist, while in the 60th minute the home team won a penalty, which was saved by Malygin. PAOK then scored two more goals, with Krommydas netting both. The first came in the 71st minute from Matera’s assist and in the 73rd minute from Kanios’s assist.

PAOK’s next game is at home against Athens Kallithea.

The players naturally dedicated the victory to their teammate and friend Kostis Tasioulas, who suffered a torn cruciate ligament and to whom we wholeheartedly wish a speedy recovery from his injury.

PAOK’s lineup: Maligin, Kyriazidis (69′ Mengidis), Chaldezos, Mokris, Kalpakis (74′ Avgitidis), Papadopoulos (69′ Kanios), Krommydas, Gioka, Souvlatzis, Economou (58′ Matera), Aretis (74′ Bakalidis).
