The first to enter the conversation with two nominations is Kiril Despodov . We start with the home game against Athens Kallithea. Kiril took the set piece from the sideline and with a stunning execution sent the ball low into the bottom right corner of Barragan’s goal to make it 2-1 to PAOK.
And we continue with probably the goal of the season. A goal taken from the scrapbook of dreams of every footballer. In the game against Panserraikos, Despodov saw Gugesashvili off his line, and he sent an arching long-range effort from close to the center circle and scored certainly one of the best goals of his career, if not the best.
The second and final contender is Mady Kamara. In the match against Panaitolikos for Matchday 15 of the Stoiximan Super League, the midfielder took up a position in the penalty area for one of the last set pieces of the match in the 87th minute. Andrija Zivkovic sent over the set-piece play, and Mady rose higher than everyone to score with a beautiful header to make it 1-0 for PAOK and secure three valuable points.
