Vote for December’s NOVA MVP
December was a busy month for PAOK, and paokfc.gr wants your votes to highlight the team’s top performer of the month.
In December, theDouble-headed Eagle chalked up five wins, one loss and one draw in seven matches in the Super League, Greek Cup and Europa League, scoring a total of 22 goals and conceding five. They produced an impressive display at the Toumba Stadium, beating Ferencváros 5-0 on Matchday 6 of the League Phase of the UEFA Europa League. They are also one point away from the top of the Stoiximan Super League, while they are also in the quarter-finals of the Greek Cup, with a second leg match against AEK at the Toumba Stadium aehad of them to overturn the 1-0 first-leg loss. Three players stood out in December, and it’s time for you to help us find the best of them all.
The first gladiator is Kiril Despodov . The Bulgarian winger continues to impress this season and in December he had three goals and two assists in the five games he played, running, battling and helping in all areas. The highlight was the goal he scored from distance against Panserraikos and the game against Ferencváros, with Despodov coming on as a substitute in the 74th minute and recording a goal and two assists.
Dominik Kotarski takes the baton next. The Double-headed Eagle goalkeeper was decisive in December, saving two penalties against AEK and Atromitos, while he was also excellent in the game against Panaitolikos. Mr. Fantastic kept a clean sheet in three of the six games in which he was between the posts.
The trio is rounded off by Andrija Zivkovic . The Serb has been delightful again this season, having an excellent campaign and constantly improving. His presence is crucial in the team’s attacking line, he makes his presence felt in all phases of the game, shows a clear head, as well as endless passion and energy. Zile scored three goals and contributed three assists in December.
