Their history of meetings begins in 1931, when they met in a single knockout match in the semi-finals of the competition, and stretches up to 2021-22, when it was the last time they met in the quarter-finals of the competition.
  • On the previous 17 ocassions, PAOK have qualified 11 times and AEK six. Four of the six qualifications achieved by the Yellow and Blacks were up to 1964-65, and from then on the “score” is 11-2 in favour of PAOK.
  • PAOK have qualified in 11 of the last 13 ties they have faced AEK before the final. In total, in rounds before the final, they have played 26 matches in both venues, with PAOK having prevailed in 13, while there are six draws and seven wins for AEK.
  • In the 2021-22 season, they faced each other again in the quarter-finals, with a 0-0 draw in the first leg at the Toumba Stadium and PAOK winning 2-1 in the second leg at OAKA (Kurtić 95′, Mitrica 97′ – Simoes 83′).
