Another loss for PAOK B

PAOK B failed to react for the sixth consecutive game, with the pressure, both psychological and points-wise, intensifying. The result was a 3-1 loss to Kabaniakos at the Efkarpia stadium for Matchday 13, with the Double-headed Eagle’s second string stuck on 14 points.

Clinical and effective, Kabaniakos scored twice from essentially three chances. At the beginning of the half, in the eighth minute, Frosini opened the scoring before and Kotsopoulos doubled the advantage just befoire half-time. In between those two strikes, PAOK B did have plenty of possession, but they could not find a breakthrough despite going close on two ocassions – with Grosdis and Tsopouroglou the players who could not convert.

PAOK B were forced to chase the score again, but they did not manage to get back into the game. Although they moved the ball around well, they could not find a final, killer pass. On the contrary, they conceded a third goal, in the 72nd minute, when Lagonidis headed into his own net accidentally from a free-kick. PAOK B did manage to get a consolation goal, with Kanis the scorer in the 92nd minute.
