A 95th-minute sting in the tail for PAOK B [with pictures]
In a game that they must immediately forget and put behind them, PAOK B suffered a 1-0 home defeat by rock-bottom Ethnikos Neo Keramidiou. The Double-headed Eagle conceded a goal in the firth minute of added time and ultimately left the Makedonikos Stadium empty-handed from their Super League 2 Matchday 9 contest.
The first 45 minutes were sluggish for both teams in what was a rather tense game with few chances in front of goal. PAOK B did have two attempts on goal, through Adam in the 27th minute and by Grosdis in the 37th minute, but neither managed to break the deadlock.
The second half was more dynamic with PAOK B in control and Ethnikos Keramidiou defending well. Again, of course, there were no great scoring chances, with the exception of Grosdis’ header hitting the crossbar in the 78th minute. As the match was heading towards the end, everything indicated that the two teams would share the points. However, in the 95th minute, a quick counter-attack saw Notas beat Nikolakoulis in the home goal to make it 1-0 to the visitos.
PAOK B’s next game is against Niki Volou next Monday.
